On Saturday, November 5 at 11am, the second Sacred Camel Puja was performed in the Sacred Camel Gardens’ outdoor temple.

In January 1992 the Naitauba Island staff informed Adi Da that they felt it was necessary to reduce the number of pigs being kept on the island because the organic food off-cuts from the kitchen had lessened, so they felt they had no way to continue feeding all the pigs at that time.

The term “care-giver”, or “animal care-giver”, is not recommended by Adi Da Samraj.
To him “care-giver” implies an attitude of superiority over what are presumed to be basically inferior creatures. Our first Sacred Camel Ceremony was a wonderful occasion.
The purpose of the ceremony was to simply and directly invoke mankind to become more sensitive to the Life and rights of all non-human beings and natural non-human processes.
The small group of participants gathered outside the camels’ pasture. Together we walked down into the grassy fields, down in among the shady trees to the Sacred Camel Temple, a large circle of boulders set within a circle of old oaks. Continue reading

His name, “K2″, was given by Quandra Sukhapur and Naamleela, after the second tallest mountain in the world.
